Alien Registration Under the Alien Registration Law, all foreigners who stay in Japan have to register at the municipal office of the city (town, village) where they live within 90 days from their arrival. After the Certificate is issued, don't forget to carry it whenever you go out. III. Temporary Leave from Japan and Re-entry When international students temporarily go home or travel abroad during vacations, they must report to the section in charge of international student at the faculty or graduate school they belong to, and then go through the procedure for re-entry permit at Hiroshima Immigration Bureau, Okayama Branch. IV. Out-of-Status Activities International Students with status of residence "College Student" are prohibited to get a job in Japan. You may work part-time with permission, however, to supply academic or living expenses in Japan, unless the job interferes with your studies.
